- INTRODUCTION
1.1 These Terms and Conditions govern all competitions operated by Crown House Competitions (“the Promoter”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).
1.2 By entering any competition on this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 The Promoter reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time where necessary for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons.
- ELIGIBILITY
2.1 Competitions are open only to persons aged 18 years or over.
2.2 Employees, contractors, agents, immediate family members, and anyone professionally connected with the operation of the competitions may not enter.
2.3 Proof of age and identity may be required before a prize is awarded.
2.4 Entries from outside the United Kingdom may be accepted only where expressly stated on the competition page.
- COMPETITION ENTRY
3.1 Each competition will specify:
(a) the prize;
(b) the ticket price;
(c) the closing date;
(d) the maximum number of entries;
(e) the method of selecting a winner.
3.2 Entry is completed only when payment has been successfully processed and confirmation has been issued.
3.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for incomplete, delayed, corrupted, or lost entries.
3.4 Entries submitted after the closing date will not be included in the draw.
- FREE ENTRY ROUTE
4.1 Where a free postal entry route is offered, it shall be available on the same basis as paid entries.
4.2 Postal entries must:
(a) be submitted on a postcard;
(b) include the entrant’s full name;
(c) include postal address;
(d) include email address and telephone number;
(e) identify the competition being entered.
4.3 Postal entries must arrive before the advertised closing date.
4.4 Incomplete or illegible postal entries may be disqualified.
- SKILL QUESTION
5.1 Where applicable, entrants must correctly answer the competition question.
5.2 Incorrect answers may result in disqualification.
5.3 The Promoter’s decision regarding correctness shall be final.
- PAYMENT
6.1 All payments are processed securely through approved payment providers.
6.2 Entry fees are non-refundable except:
(a) where required by law;
(b) where a competition is cancelled;
(c) where payment was taken in error.
6.3 Chargebacks or payment disputes may result in entries being voided.
- PRIZES
7.1 Prize details are listed on each competition page.
7.2 Cash alternatives may be offered at the Promoter’s discretion.
7.3 Prizes are non-transferable unless expressly agreed.
7.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize with an alternative of equal or greater value where circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
- WINNER SELECTION
8.1 Winners will be selected by live draw, random number generator, or other method specified on the competition page.
8.2 The draw may be broadcast live via social media platforms.
8.3 The result of the draw is final.
8.4 No correspondence regarding the outcome will be entered into.
- WINNER VERIFICATION
9.1 Winners must provide:
(a) proof of identity;
(b) proof of age;
(c) proof of address.
9.2 Failure to provide requested documentation within 14 days may result in forfeiture of the prize.
9.3 If a winner is disqualified, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
- VEHICLE PRIZES
10.1 Vehicle prizes shall be transferred in the condition described on the competition page.
10.2 Insurance remains the responsibility of the winner.
10.3 The winner must ensure they hold a valid driving licence before collection.
10.4 Collection and delivery arrangements shall be agreed with the winner.
10.5 The Promoter makes no warranties beyond those provided by law.
- CASH PRIZES
11.1 Cash prizes will be paid by bank transfer.
11.2 Winners may be required to provide proof of account ownership.
11.3 Payments will normally be made within 30 days of verification.
- HOLIDAY PRIZES
12.1 Holiday prizes may be subject to third-party booking conditions.
12.2 Passports, visas, insurance, vaccinations, and travel requirements remain the responsibility of the winner.
12.3 The Promoter accepts no responsibility for travel disruptions beyond its control.
- CANCELLATION OR EXTENSION
13.1 The Promoter reserves the right to:
(a) extend a competition;
(b) amend a competition;
(c) cancel a competition.
13.2 If a competition is cancelled, entrants will receive either:
(a) a refund; or
(b) site credit.
- PUBLICITY
14.1 Winners agree that their first name, town/city, photographs, videos, and prize handover footage may be used for promotional purposes.
14.2 By accepting a prize, the winner grants the Promoter a royalty-free licence to use such content across websites, social media, and advertising materials.
- DATA PROTECTION
15.1 Personal data shall be processed in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.
15.2 Information collected may be used:
(a) to administer competitions;
(b) to contact winners;
(c) for marketing purposes where consent has been provided.
15.3 Personal information shall not be sold to third parties.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
16.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter shall not be liable for:
(a) technical failures;
(b) interrupted services;
(c) delayed entries;
(d) indirect or consequential losses.
16.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
- FRAUD AND ABUSE
17.1 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant suspected of:
(a) fraud;
(b) abuse of the website;
(c) use of automated systems;
(d) manipulation of results.
17.2 Any fraudulent activity may be reported to the relevant authorities.
- GOVERNING LAW
18.1 These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Northern Ireland.
18.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Northern Ireland.
